O is for Ocean - The Alphabet Imaginarium by Vera Ciria

O is for Ocean, such a colossal vessel of water. A constant churning and movement, moody at times, mesmerizing and apparently innocent. A watery world for curious beings, loud on the surface, eerily quiet below.

Wave after wave after wave. A tireless activity, a restorative sound. Water has that mystical quality to draw you in, attract your attention, similar to fire. Home to dolphins and sharks, ancient mermaids and shipwrecks, mysterious and magnetic.

We barely pierce the surface of the ocean yet it covers such a vast portion of our world. We bob around on the surface and dare to dive below but it is not our natural habitat. We can’t breathe underwater but we still try. A watery abode, almost entirely unmapped, filled with undiscovered treasure.

With O is for Ocean, we sit before this extraordinary phenomenon and wonder at the beauty. Not only the ocean but water in general. The seas, lakes, ponds, and puddles. The glass of water on a hot day. The steaming shower we take in the morning. The around 60% of water contained within our bodies. This element that is so necessary in our lives.
